People counting & visitor analytics for retail and mallsTurn every visit into a better business decision.

SmartCounter counts visitors at every entrance of your stores and malls, then brings it together in one dashboard: when you’re busiest, which entrances work hardest, and which locations need attention. Plan staff, promotions, and layouts on data — not guesswork.

Business value

From “it feels busy” to numbers you can act on.

Operations, marketing, and management look at the same numbers — and decide faster. These are the everyday decisions SmartCounter helps with most.

Operations

Rosters that follow real peak hours

See traffic by hour, day, and week. Add people at the peak, save when it’s quiet — no guessing.

Store managers · Area managers

Multi-location

Compare performance across branches

Every location measured the same way over the same period. Branches falling behind stand out.

Management · Regional managers

Marketing

Measure promotions and events

Solutions

Stores and malls ask different questions. SmartCounter answers both.

They are counted differently too, so we built two distinct solutions — in one Super App.

A fashion store entrance inside a mall. A small dome camera is mounted on the ceiling right above the doorway. Two shoppers walk in while one person passes along the mall corridor.
Straight-down view from the ceiling camera at the store entrance. A counting line runs across the threshold; one person passes in the corridor and three are near the doorway.
A fashion store sales floor seen from a ceiling corner: a new-arrivals table near the door, a promotion rack, fitting rooms at the back, and the cashier.

How counting works

Numbers you can trust in every meeting.

SmartCounter counts people as they cross a line set at each entrance, telling entries from exits. In malls, moving between areas is never counted as a new visit.

  1. A counting line at every entranceSomeone who walks in and out is not counted twice as a visitor.
  2. Passers-by counted separatelyThe storefront is measured on its own, so you can see how many people come in.
  3. Checked before handoverCounts are compared with a reference count over an agreed period, and we share the result.

Implementation

From the first conversation to a live dashboard, we stay with you.

  1. Discovery call

Tell us about your business, the questions you need answered, and your timeline.

  2. Site survey

We review entrances, layout, and existing cameras, then confirm exactly what can be measured.

  3. Installation & calibration

Counting lines and zones are set up, then checked against a reference count.

  4. Go live with support

Your team gets Super App access, training, and support from Jakarta.

Privacy by design

Reports only contain aggregate numbers: how many, when, and where — never who.

No empty accuracy promises

We don’t quote one accuracy figure for every site. We agree how counts are checked and share the result.

See all questions
Can you use the cameras we already have?

That’s the first thing we check. During the survey we review camera position and angle, video quality, and access, then tell you which entrances can be counted with your cameras and which need an extra one. We don’t promise every camera will work.

How accurate are the counts?

Accuracy depends on each entrance — camera angle, lighting, and crowding. That’s why we don’t quote one number for every site. Before handover we compare SmartCounter’s counts with a reference count over an agreed period and share the result with you.

How long does implementation take?

It depends on the number of locations and entrances, camera readiness, and network access on site. We give you a realistic schedule after the site survey, before you commit.

Does SmartCounter recognise faces or identify visitors?

No. The dashboard only shows aggregate numbers: how many people, when, and in which area. How video is processed and how long data is kept is agreed for each site before rollout.

Can we export data or connect it to other systems?

Data can be exported for internal reports. Integrations with other systems, such as sales (POS) data, are scoped and planned with your team.

How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on your number of entrances and locations and the plan you choose: Basic, Add-on, or Premium. We prepare a proposal after a short consultation.

Bring one store or mall. We’ll show you what can be measured there.
